The International reenactors market
Armi & Bagagli
Piacenza (Italy)
29th and 30th March 2008
On 29th and 30th March 2008, the Piacenza Trade Fair will, in concomitance with the ‘Tempolibero’ Leisure Pursuits Fair, be home to the IV International Reenactors Market ‘Armi & Bagagli’. Extended and remodelled, this is the fourth such fair and this year its scope will be substantially increased, thanks to collaboration between CERS Italia (Italian Section of the ‘Union of European Historical Companies’), Estrela SAS (20-years-experienced society in the fairs organisation) and PiacenzaExpo, the body responsible for the Piacenza trade fair facilities.
The main innovations to be found in the pavilion in Piacenza will include:
stands not only for craftsmen and suppliers of historical artefacts from Ancient Rome to the World War II, but also for publishers and sellers of books relating to this sector, collectors of historical artefacts, groups of re-enactment from Italy and aboard;
exhibition areas for displays and exhibitions regarding various historical reconstructions;
historically-inspired entertainments to be performed during the opening period;
The National Assembly of ‘CERS Italia’ will be held on Sunday in the Conference Hall of the Trade Fair building (capacity 334, plus modern audio and video facilities). This event will be open to historians, enthusiasts and researchers and will discuss all the problems associated with historical reconstruction.
So,
more than ever, “Armi & Bagagli – History on a Market Stall” is
indispensable for anyone who works in the historical re-enactment, be they
re-enactors looking for accessories to add to their own equipment or
organisations looking for craftsmen and groups who can improve the quality
of their own events.
